ECIT Virtus takes over PwC's accounting and payroll services

ECIT Virtus is pleased to announce that we have acquired PwC's accounting and payroll services in Reykjavík. This acquisition is an important part of our strategy to strengthen our operations and expand our service offering to meet the ever-growing needs of our clients.

With this move, the accounting and payroll services, previously operated by PwC, will now be part of ECIT Virtus. This will ensure continued quality of service and give our clients access to increased expertise. The ECIT Virtus team now includes over 30 professionals with extensive experience in the fields of accounting, payroll and tax consulting, making us better equipped to serve a diverse group of clients.

At ECIT Virtus, we have set ourselves the goal of growing both internally and externally, until economies of scale have been maximized in the Icelandic market. The acquisition of PwC's accounting and payroll services is a major step in that direction and underlines our commitment to ensuring quality and diversity in financial services.

This development follows the merger with Húnabókhald earlier this year and marks our continued growth in the Icelandic market. We look forward to providing even better service to our clients and ensuring they receive the expertise and support they need to succeed.

ECIT Virtus ehf. is a subsidiary of the Norwegian financial company ECIT AS, which has around 2.600 employees in over a hundred workplaces in ten countries. In addition to accounting and payroll processing, ECIT AS provides extensive consulting in the field of IT and business solutions. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and has continuously expanded its activities, including the acquisition of a 51% stake in Virtus Finance in March 2023.

ECIT Virtus currently serves over 600 clients in financial-related projects and the company's estimated turnover this year is around ISK 500 million. With these new acquisitions, ECIT Virtus is better positioned than ever to meet the needs of Icelandic companies and individuals for professional and reliable financial services.
